Four Steps. No Nonsense.
Most men quit at week three — itch, patchiness, no idea what to do next. Here's the whole routine, start to finish.
The Routine
Wash
Strip the day out — not the natural oils. Two to three times a week is plenty; daily shampoo is what dries a beard to straw.
Oil
Three to five drops in the palm, worked through to the skin beneath. This is the step that kills the itch — most men skip it and blame the beard.
Balm
A thumbnail's worth, warmed between the hands. Seals in the moisture and keeps flyaways honest through a full day outside.
Style
Comb from the neck up and out. Trains the growth direction over weeks — patience does more here than any product.
Skin First, Beard Second
The Itch Is Skin
Beard itch is almost always dry skin underneath, not the hair. Oil the skin and the itch goes.
Patchy Takes Time
Four weeks minimum before judging a patch. Most give up at three — the fill-in happens after.
Less Is More
Too much product weighs a beard down and looks greasy. Start light; you can always add.
Frequently Asked
Anything we haven't covered, ask us direct — a real person answers.
How long does a bottle last?
Used daily at three to five drops, a 30ml bottle runs about two months. The 60ml balm lasts a similar stretch at a thumbnail a day.
Oil or balm — which do I need?
Oil feeds the skin beneath and stops the itch. Balm seals in moisture and holds shape. Most legends run oil first, balm second — which is why the Forge Kit exists.
Will it work on a short beard?
Yes. Oil from day one keeps new growth soft and the skin underneath calm — that's the stage most men give up at.
Is the scent strong?
Present, not loud. Sandalwood and cedar — it reads as smoke and timber and fades back within the hour.
